Music & Picnic in the Park 2018 – Summer Concert Series

Enjoy a summer evening in one of Tracy's beautiful parks with live music and a picnic!
These free, family-friendy events are an annual tradition in the community.
In addition to diverse musical performers from across the region, each event includes community organizations, businesses & hospitality vendors.
Blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets are welcome.

New to the concerts this year is a collaboration with local eateries!
Each will offer a selection of meals that you can pre-order directly and pick-up at the event.

About the Tracy Arts Commission
The Tracy Arts Commission is committed to nurturing artistic vision, honoring diversity, supporting creativity and promoting cooperative partnerships in the arts. The City Council appointed Commission is to encourage, promote and stimulate the growth of broad-based arts and cultural programs in the community.

TAC programming currently includes the Civic Art Program, Emerging Artists Series, and a newly designed Music & Picnic in the Park summer concert series.  The TAC also generously provides hospitality support to the participants of the Downtown Tracy Artwalk.

The Each summer the Tracy Arts Commission presents a series of free summer concerts featuring local and regional professional acts.
The TAC is also interested in presenting music, poetry, spoken word, storytelling, dance, drama and performance art of all kinds!

If you are a performance artist or represent a band, troupe or artist collective who is interested in future opportunities,
please provide the following promotional materials:

1. Biography including complete contact information
2. CD/DVD representative of your art/music
3. Rate Sheet

Submissions can be dropped off at Patron Services at the Box Office or mailed to:

Electronic submissions are not being accepted at this time.
Receipt deadline for 2018 performance submissions is Friday, April 13th, 2018.
Submissions received after the deadline will be kept on file for future programming or other performance opportunities in the City of Tracy.
All submitted materials are the property of the City of Tracy and will not be returned.

Emerging Artists Series
This program provides opportunites for emerging child and teen performers in our community to sing The National Anthem at Music in the Park concerts.
The Tracy Arts Commission - Special Events Subcommittee host public auditions.
No appointment is necessary.  Auditions are held annually in the spring at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult and release forms must be completed in order to audition.
Selected singers may also opt to sing one song of their choice during intermission at these events.
