This evening’s production features exciting new dance works alongside a performance shaped and refined through the Company’s long-standing collaboration with South Africa.

Welcome to The Evolution Tour!

Founded in 1994 by C. Brian Williams, Step Afrika! is the world’s leading authority on the art form of stepping. Under Mr. Williams’ leadership, stepping has evolved into one of America’s cultural exports, touring more than 60 countries across the globe and ranking as one of the top 10 African American Dance Companies in the US.

Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities; traditional African dances; and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience. Performances are much more than dance shows; they integrate songs, storytelling, humor, and audience participation. The blend of technique, agility, and pure energy makes each performance unique and leaves the audience with their hearts pounding.

Step Afrika! promotes stepping as an educational tool for young people, focusing on teamwork, academic achievement, and cross-cultural understanding. The Company reaches tens of thousands of Americans each year through a 50-city tour of colleges and theaters and performs globally as Washington, DC’s one and only Cultural Ambassador.

Step Afrika! has earned Mayor’s Arts Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Arts Education, Innovation in the Arts, Excellence in an Artistic Discipline, and was inducted into the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) Hall of Fame, the first Dance Company to earn this honor. Step Afrika! headlined President Barack Obama’s Black History Month Reception and performed at the first ever Juneteenth Celebration at the White House. The Company is featured prominently at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture with the world’s first stepping interactive exhibit and is the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title holder for the “largest STEPPING dance”. Certain experiences burn themselves in your memory from the very first encounter. The jaw-dropping audio pyrotechnics that Naturally 7 put on display every night absolutely belong in that category. “A capella group” so vastly underplays what they create onstage that they had to coin a phrase – “Vocal Play” – to more accurately depict what they do. Naturally 7 is more than a tightly orchestrated collection of great singers. They transform their voices into actual human instruments, effortlessly producing music of any genre. Their vocal choreography is so perfectly interwoven that they compelled the musical maestro himself, Quincy Jones, to declare them “The best a cappella group in the world!” Their sonic mastery was on full display in a series of unforgettable performances on “The World’s Best” TV show, which premiered on CBS immediately following Super Bowl LIII. Hosted by comedian and “Car Karaoke” collaborator, James Corden, Naturally 7 reigned supreme as the world’s “Best Group”, and cemented their singular status among the planet’s musical elite.

This was only icing on the cake of a still-vibrant 20-year career, which includes 3 world tours – nearly 500 shows – with the incomparable Michael Bublé, shared billing with global phenomenon Coldplay – including a sold out show at the Barclays Center – and owned the spotlight in a pair of national Cheerios commercials. In addition to Bublé, Naturally 7 has shared the stage with numerous icons, including Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Quincy Jones, Sarah Connor, Lionel Richie, Ludacris, The Roots, and more. Counted among their world-famous fans are President Barack Obama, Will.I.Am., Ellen DeGeneres, Craig Ferguson, Bill and Melinda Gates, Jay Leno, Allan Titchmarsh, Mo’Nique, Jools Holland, and Arsenio Hall, along with countless others.

With the release of their latest project, 20/20, Naturally 7 comes full circle, adding a fresh spin on 20 fan favorites, hand selected by fans the world over. This, their eleventh studio album, celebrates their 20th anniversary in the music industry, giving music lovers all they could hope for, and then some. For the members of Naturally 7 – Ricky“ Lee Ricardo Cort, Rod Eldridge, Kelvin  “Kelz“ Mitchell, Sean Simmonds, Dwight Stewart, Roger Thomas, and Warren Thomas – it’s a privilege to do what they love and bring so much joy to the hearts of their fans each and every night.  It’s exactly what you would expect. When something is pure magic it’s destined to withstand the test of time. Naturally…

Ticket Price(s):  $30 – $50 ($4 per ticket fee included)
Venue: Madame Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis Theatre (EK Theatre)

Jeff Allen may or may not want to admit it, but he’s getting old. At 69, Jeff is staring down
his 70th year and decided it might be time to think about slowing down. The result? My
‘First’ Final Farewell Tour 2026. Yes, you read that right – “First” and “Final” in the same
sentence – because Jeff’s not totally sure he’s done. (After all, Cher had twenty farewell
tours, and Elton John is still out there.)

Jeff’s show features his brilliant standup comedy, which has garnered hundreds of millions
of fans around the globe. There is a part of Jeff’s show where he speaks about his book, Are
We There Yet? which tears down all walls and shows Jeff’s journey from very dark times to
recovery, restoration, and ultimately redemption. For those inspired by Jeff’s arc, thistour is
more than just laughs – it’s about hope, healing, and making a difference. Jeff’s mission
statement is Tikkun Olam, a Hebrew phrase meaning “Repairing the World.” His goal is
simple: “I want to make a difference that outlives the tour… that outlives me.”

Jeff Allen is one of America’s most beloved comedians, with over one billion online views. His
rapid-fire humor, which centers on marriage and family, is a hit with all ages. He has appeared
everywhere – on Comedy Central, Showtime, TBN, CBN, Family Net, Dry Bar Comedy (their
most viewed comedian with seven comedy specials), America’s Got Talent, HBO, Amazon
Prime, Huckabee, Pureflix, VH-1, The Today Show, and starred in the films Apostles of Comedy
and My 7 Grandmas. He has performed for our troops on aircraft carriers and shipsin the
Indian Ocean. Jeff has also performed at three Presidential Inaugural Galas. Millions have seen
him across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. But nothing compares to seeing Jeff live.
He is presently in pre-production for his new series based on his book, Are We There Yet?
