This creative visual and motor mode of communication can be used to help offer and express meaning in performance of songs and stories. Plus it’s fun!
 
We will make use of words and vocabulary found in American English in this introductory sign language workshop. Our reference text will be “Signing Exact English” with its more than 4,400 entries. No prior knowledge needed. Students of all ages will learn basic signs through stories and songs!

Ancient Greek and Latin form the foundation for almost 70 % of words in English. Come play vocabulary games, learn why Roman Numerals designate Superbowls, and become familiar with the Greek alphabet. Bring a pencil or pen, Toga’s are optional.

Transit Station Plaza RFQ

Tracy Transit Station Plaza – Request for Qualifications

This fast track project will provide artists a unique sculptural opportunity to imagine and repurpose built elements on the exterior plaza of the Tracy Transit Station.

Emerging and experienced artists alike, with knowledge of and interest in San Joaquin and collaborative projects, are encourage to apply.

Total budget of $150,000.

Submission deadline is December 5 at 5:00 PM.

On behalf of the City of Tracy, the Tracy Arts Commission welcomes applications for the Re-Granting Program for Tracy-based artists of all kinds, arts educators, and arts organizations who seek to develop and presents arts and cultural-based projects in Tracy. Projects must be accessible to the public in the form of events and activities such as classes, exhibits, festivals, performances, screenings, readings, and workshops.
