April 2027 is Tracy Arts Month

Arts Month is an annual celebration of creativity and culture organized by the Cultural Arts Division in the City of Tracy. A series of public events featuring artists and arts organizations from across the local area is presented throughout the month.

 

At the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, programming will be specially curated to celebrate Arts Month with performances, exhibitions, arts education opportunities, and community events that highlight the creativity and talent of our region.

Exciting News! 

 

The Grand Theatre Center for The Arts is undergoing some much needed and wonderful renovations to our facility’s main entryway off of Central Avenue. 

 

The facility will remain open for our normal operating hours, however the main entrance will be closed for the next few days. The 7th street entrance will be open and community members will be able to enter the facility there. 

 

We apologize for any convenience this has cause and we cannot wait for you to see the newly restored Terrazzo entryway once it is completed!

Program Details:

  • This is a part-time position. Selected candidate must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on performance or show needs.

 

This individual is a professional, team‑oriented problem solver who communicates effectively with artists and staff, adjusts quickly to changing production needs, and consistently delivers high‑quality technical work. A passion for live performance and the ability to support a diverse range of productions—from community theatre to concerts and special events—will make this candidate a valuable member of our technical team.

CULTURAL ARTS EDUCATION ASSISTANT

Program Details:

  • Application Deadline: August 28, 2026
  • This is a full-time position. This position works Tuesday through Saturday, with varying hours depending on special events and programming. Typical shifts run 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., offering a dynamic schedule that aligns with classes, exhibitions, and community activities.

 

The City of Tracy is seeking a creative Cultural Arts Education Assistant to support our arts education classes and exhibition program. This role helps prepare and lead hands‑on art activities, assists with curriculum delivery, and contributes to a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.

 

The Assistant also supports the City’s gallery and exhibition work, including coordinating with artists, helping install artwork, and maintaining gallery spaces. Candidates with gallery experience or familiarity with art handling are encouraged to apply.

On behalf of the City of Tracy, the Tracy Arts Commission welcomes applications for the Re-Granting Program for Tracy-based artists of all kinds, arts educators, and arts organizations who seek to develop and presents arts and cultural-based projects in Tracy. Projects must be accessible to the public in the form of events and activities such as classes, exhibits, festivals, performances, screenings, readings, and workshops.
