Janice Johnson is a New Mexico-born artist spending her time primarily in California with frequent visits to beautiful places around the world.
She attended the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Janice knew she eventually wanted to make art the focus of her life, and began oil painting in 1990. In her second career, she spent 22 years teaching art, history and leadership. She served on the Board of Directors at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in Tracy, California. Janice has taught art at sea since 2019.
